Education

The Oregon Graduate Institute offers an integrated multidisciplinary curriculum in human language technology, through graduate programs in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Students supported by CSLU faculty may apply to either the CSE or ECE department, and receive an MS or PhD from either CSE or ECE after meeting their degree requirements.

The CSLU faculty work hard to assure that, in addition to the departmental requirements, CSLU students are well grounded in areas of speech science, human communication, and language technology. Students who have graduated from CSLU are now working in the top research laboratories worldwide.

We encourage students interested in studying at CSLU to contact CSLU faculty before applying for admission to the ECE or CSE departments. Classes taught by CSLU faculty.

Job opportunities after graduation

Corporations are eager to hire graduates from our Center. In fact, a key reason for why corporations become CSLU Corporate Members is access to our students. Our graduates have positions at corporations and universities, including Nuance, MIT, Microsoft, Tellme, Texas Instruments, SpeechWorks, Intel, Qualcomm, Fluent Speech Technologies, Sophia University (Japan), and CSLU.
